HISTORY OF OUR FOUNDATION

Biraidu Unity Foundation was birthed out of community based love exhibited by a group of men and Women from Biraidu Community, a district headquarters of Biraidu District, Dekina Local Government, Kogi state, north central Nigeria.

BUF was borne out of genuine love for the development of the land and out of affectionate communal engagement through empowerment and strategic interventions in the area of humanitarian services.

The Biraidu Unity Foundation (BUF) emerged as a testament to the genuine love and commitment of individuals in the Biraidu Community, driven by a shared vision for the development of their land.

In May 2017, pioneers like Mr. Dauda Isiaka, Mr. Odoh Akowe, Mr. Hassan Attai Ahmed, Mr. Onalo Atokolo, Mr. Onalo Idris Omeji, and others joined forces with a selfless inclination to empower and intervene strategically in humanitarian services.

United by a common purpose, the group expanded its membership, seeking individuals without questionable character who shared their altruistic ideals. In fostering this, monthly meetings, held every second Saturday, became the foundation’s heartbeat and the springboard through which contributions and discussions that fueled their commitment to aiding the less privileged in Biraidu District and its surroundings.
